Ascend Armenia’s core team is made up of local Armenians and lovers of Armenia who are dedicated to putting on a challenging, beautiful race that showcases the beauty of Armenia itself.

Tatev Avetisyan

Tatev brings with her a native Armenian’s point of view as she helps to organize and market Ascend Armenia both inside of the country and to the wider world. She’s a core part of our leadership team who keeps track of innumerable race details and brings order from chaos.

Tom Fitzgerald

Tom birthed the idea for the Ascend Armenia race and has served as the chief cheerleader and advocate for this event since its inception. He plays key roles in administration, relationship, planning, and government relations.

Stephen Fitzgerald

Stephen has been exploring new challenges on two wheels for more than three decades, and when he’s not running Rodeo Labs he is working on the Ascend Armenia project by way of advising, directing, planning, and PR.

Stephen has ridden the majority of the Ascend Armenia course and has spent two years contributing to course design and development from the perspective of a participant.
